Even though 6 out of 10 young people have their first sexual experience at the age of 20 to 24, only 25.3 percent make sure to take precautions during the sex.
Less than 10 percent stick to chastity before marriage, and twice as many males as females said that the future spouse`s chastity is important.
This is the findings from the mobile panel research performed jointly by a condom maker company, ‘Good Thinking’, Open Survey and the corporation aggregate ‘Pooreun Aoosung’ last September. The research utilized a smartphone application and targeted 500 males and 500 females aged from 20 to 39 all over the country.
It has been found that 59.8% of the respondents have the first sexual relationship at the age of 20 to 24. Cases of the sexual experience in the teens represent up to 18.3%.
The average number of sex partners is 6.2 with 4 for females and 8.3 for males.
36% of the respondents said they have sex one to three times a week, followed by 29.1% having sex more than once in two to three weeks and 17.2% for more than once a month.
Checked by occupation, while workers have chosen the option of 1 to 3 times a week, housewives mostly did more than one time in 2 to 3 weeks.
The findings show that sexual experiences seem to be increasing, but with no sufficient precautions.
To the question, ‘Do you take precautions during the sex?’, merely 25.3% answered that they never have sex without physical contraceptives such as condoms or oral contraceptives.

The cases of relying on natural precautions such as the rhythm method or coitus interruptus represent as high as 12.9%.
More twenties(34.5%) never have sex without precautions than thirties(17.5%). It is analyzed that the rate of those considering contraception to be necessary is increasing.
The difference between men and women in answers to the question of experience of prostitution is remarkable.
40% of the male respondents and 3% of the female respondents have an experience of prostitution. While older men have a higher rate in the experience of prostitution, women have rather the consistent rate regardless of the age.

Dissatisfaction of sex education is noticeable. To the question on the impact of sex eduation received in the past, 43.1% of the respondents, the highest proportion answered ‘no impact at all’. 11.3% of the twenties responded it had influenced them while only 5.8% of the thirties agreed.
