The Women’s News (Representative: Hyo-Seon KIM) and Emerald Club of Japan (Representative: Sugahara Tomomi) signed an MOU for their future exchanges at The Women’s News on March 11.

Emerald Club is the biggest network of business women in Japan established in 2010, having its branches in 8 cities including Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka and 860 members. Its main project is international exchanges such as partnership with organizations of business women in other countries and tours of inspection.

Representative Hyo-Seon KIM of The Women’s News said, “The cooperation with Emerald Club started upon the opportunity made by Representative Sugahara’s visit to Korea last year to participate in ‘Asia – Pacific W Crisis Management Forum’ held by The Women’s News as a speaker. I expect wide and various exchanges between the two organizations will occur in terms of planning forums for business women’s economic empowerment, contents exchanges and so forth.”

Representative Sugahara also added, “Having known The Women’s News, I have hoped there would be a newspaper for women like The Women’s News in Japan to introduce women’s activities. It is expected the MOU will help Japan take one more step towards the creation of a women’s media in Japan. End.
